1. Magic experiments in the real world

The project asks students to become "teachers", to assume roles and work together as a group to give meaning content. Grouping the pupils, involving them in learning process, and creating a classroom environment where cooperation is encouraged will give them opportunities to learn from one another and to be learned each other in the specific "real world".

  • Aims: Removing borders and creates a virtual classroom with European students working together and developing a real project. The presentations of schools, the products created by students, the movies with experiments, the articles with details about these, will be published on own web magazine created for this project. It will get a space with valuable educational content.
  • Work process:
1. Students will format working groups in each class of three or four members. MEITRW.gif
2. Each working group will select two or three experiments.
3. Each group develops the experiments selected. Students will take photos and videos that will accompany the explanations of experiments. Students prepare files (text/photo/video) with the proper software.
4. The students serve as journalists, will edit articles with the conducted experiments on the project web magazine. These articles will be sent for approval to the teacher-editor, who can then publish them.
5. Students will organize an exhibition in the school with screenings of films, brochures, posters and other materials to promote their work and project results.
  • Expected results: Students will better understand the physical and chemical phenomena in experiments; they will use Twinspace to collaborate and communicate with colleagues working group and project partners in the participating countries; they will improve their ICT skills, will learn to use Web 2.0 technologies; will develop writing and reading skills in English.

In order to find out more about our mutual habits and interest the very first thing we can do is to take some photos from the school the students the every day life of the residents. Of course this could be an opportunity to be introduced to each other region and find out if there are any mutual believes. Also we can identify the variety of labor each of us has.   • Aims: The knowledge of a foreign country, its habits, interests, way of living and of course a potential exhange of teachers/ students. This is going to show off the elimination of borders and create an almost virtual classroom with students from 2 countries developing an united project.
  • Work process: After taking more than 20 pictures we will exchange them by e-mail and then we are going to find all together titles for every picture. Then this is going to be a slide show with proper added music.
  • Expected results: As this is our first attempt to an etwinning project taking pictures is not only fun but it can be a real experience and discover of the operation of technology in every day life. Cameras and computers are going to be handling by students in order to exercise their own skills in new technology.

3. Have fun with simple experiments

The main aim of this project is to enhance the interest of science among students through preparing, performing and explaining simple experiments by themselves.

  • Aims: Students will learn to make simple experiments, to observe the world, to solve problems and learn to be a learner in a modern world. Students will learn to cooperate with students from other countries. Students will naturally learn to use new technologies as a part of their education.
  • Work process: 1. Preparation of project: Teachers will explain students aims of the project. Students will be given the Internet addresses where they can find the experiments. Teacher will enroll students to the twinspace. 2. Formation of groups: Students will form working groups in each class of two or three members. Students can also perform experiments individually. The groups will prepare their intruduction (photos, PowerPoint presentations, videos) and short introduction of their shools, towns and countries. 3. Election of experiments: Each working group will select three or four experiments. Each teacher assigned to each group one experiment. Make contact with groups from different centers that have allocated the same experiment. It opens a forum for eTwinning so students can share their experiences and compare results. 4. Do the experiments: Each group develops in-class experiments assigned. The teacher will be responsible for recording the experiments 5. Preparation of Project Blog: Edit the project blog. Upload videos to YouTube. Each teacher will rise to the blog experiments developed by their students. We will ask the students to visit the blog and add comments. 6. Preparation of some murals explaining the project: Each working group will prepare a posters on the experiments. They will organize an exhibition in the school with posters to publicize the results of the project.

Searching for the very first primary schools in a country, for the very first students and teachers in the past and comparing it with the schools, students and teachers nowadays.

  • Work process: To form a group of students who will work on the project. To search for pictures and other written material of primary schools, students and teachers in the past. To find out in which way the primary education has changed from the very first beginning till today.
  • Expected results: To show the students the changing that has occurred from the past till today in the field of primary education.

5. The Age of Dissonance

  4. Do the experiments: Each group develops in-class experiments assigned. Students take photos and videos that accompany the explanations of experiments on the blog. Students prepare files (text/photo/video) with the right software. Each group will give the teacher a CD with the information (text, photos and videos) for the blog.
  5. Preparation of Project Blog: Edit the project blog. Upload videos to YouTube. Each teacher will rise to the blog experiments developed by their students. We will ask the students who visit the blog and add comments.
  6. Preparation of some murals explaining the project: Each working group will prepare a mural on the experiments. They will organize an exhibition in the school with murals to publicize the results of the project.

  • Expected results: Students will improve their ICT skills and learn to use web 2.0 technologies to publish e-magazine, collaborate and communicate with peers. Students will develop writing and reading skills in a foreign language. Students learn about their project partners in the other countries.

9. WebQuest, a teaching model that uses ICT

Using tools specific Internet WebQuest technique suggests a new method of working, based on the principle of constructivist design by students of their knowledge through personal effort, but also a model search on the Internet that includes, at the same time, elements of learning through cooperation.
